The first Assassin’s Creed showcase took place in the latest Ubisoft Forward on September 10. The showcase which gave us a look at the future of the series. The 15th anniversary of the series was celebrated as well as the reveal of five games that will be released in the future. With that in mind, here are the Assassin’s Creed games coming in the future:
Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Mirage is the upcoming mainline entry to the Assassin’s Creed series. The game takes place in Baghdad in Iran during the late 9th century and puts players into the role of Basim, a crucial character in Valhalla during his early years as a Hidden One. The game will take a back-to-basics approach. For example, it will feature easier gameplay mechanics similar to the ones in the earlier games. It will also feature dense crowds and urban environments as well.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set for release in 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC, and Amazon Luna.
Codename Red
Codename Red is another mainline game currently in development by Ubisoft Quebec, creators of Syndicate and Odyssey. The game will take place in the long-wanted setting of Feudal Japan and will feature much more improved RPG mechanics as well.
Codename Hexe
Codename Hexe is yet another mainline game in development, but this one is under Ubisoft Montreal. There isn’t that much information regarding Hexe currently. According to Bloomberg, Hexe is set during the 16th century in Central Europe during the Witch Hunts. Mythology will seem to be a pivotal part here.
Codename Infinity
Codename Infinity has been in the rumor mills for a long time before Ubisoft officially acknowledged it. Ubisoft has confirmed that Infinity isn’t a game per se, but a hub that will ”connect players through different types of Assassin’s Creed experiences, old and new”, Infinity will also bring back multiplayer in the game as well which was last prominently featured in Unity.
Codename Jade
Codename Jade is an Assassin’s Creed title being developed only for mobile devices. It is an open-world RPG that will take place in ancient China and has a unique storyline. Details that have been revealed include the ability to create your character.
Assassin’s Creed and Netflix
Netflix is also collaborating with Ubisoft by creating an Assassin’s Creed game exclusively available on the streaming platform as well as a live-action TV series.
